SRX (Speed and Range expansion) is advanced technology from Linksys that dramatically extends the speed and range of a wireless G router and network. SRX increases the range of a wireless network by up to three times. It also reduced dead spots (areas that do not receive the wireless signal).
The Linksys Wireless G broadband router with SRX is based on MIMO (Multiple In, Multiple Out) technology. MIMO based routers have three antennas and work by overlaying the signals from two of the antennas. This doubles the data transfer rate and increases the signal range.

Linksys makes a small, compact wireless G broadband router called the WRT54GC. If you are tight for space, then the WRT54GC might well be the wireless router for you! It’s dimensions are 9.8 cm x 2.5 cm x 9.8 cm and it weighs just 141 grams. It has a data transfer rate of 54Mbps and features firewall protection, MAC address filtering, DHCP support, auto-uplink, Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and VPN pass through.
